Administration Consultant (seasonal)

Background to the role

The Inghams Administration and Pre-departure Service Team are looking for dedicated staff to deliver excellent customer service and translate sales experience into a post sales environment. 

 

The job role offers an excellent opportunity to experience and learn a range of dynamic departments on the front line of one of the most well established Ski companies in the travel market. Starting in the Sales department, the ideal candidate will learn the sales process and superb product range, and then move into a specialist department dealing with a mixture of Admin and Sales, specifically looking after client bookings post sale. This will include up selling, resolving issues, dealing with travel agents and direct clients, and communicating with different departments.  

 

This is a seasonal position from October 2010 to the end of February 2011. 

 

Location

Based in the Putney Office, South-West London

 

The successful candidate will be required to work 5 days a week on a rota basis between the hours of 08.00am and 20.00pm, which will include work on Saturdays and Sundays on a rota basis.  Please note that there may also be a requirement for occasional overnight trips away from home to attend promotional events or educational trips.

 

Key responsibilities:
To provide excellent customer service and selling expertise to Inghams customers;

 

·       Handling incoming sales and administration calls in a timely and professional manor;

·       Utilising opportunities to sell auxiliary items to clients and agents;

·       Demonstrate a consistently high level of customer service to meet the expectations of our clients ;

·       Learn and sell the whole range of the Inghams product;

·       To exceed sales and K.P.I. targets as set by line manager;

·       Take ownership and responsibility for problem solving and query resolution;

·       Assist in pre-departure processes using product knowledge to answer customers questions;

·       Work effectively as a valued part of a team;

·       Ensure integrity when collecting client data;

·       Maintain and increase knowledge of ski resorts;

·       Attend promotional events in line with business needs.

 

The Candidate

·       A strong sales person;

·       Highly results-motivated;

·       Proven organisational skills;

·       Exceptional knowledge of the ski industry and resorts;

·       Ability to work towards targets;

·       Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written;

·       Willingness to develop knowledge and skills;

·       Exceptional I.T. skills;

·       Attention to detail;

·       Strong self starter;

 

It is desirable that candidates possess the following experience and interests:

 

·       To have worked for a agency/tour operator in a similar role;

·       To have worked with a varied range of customers;

·       Knowledge of travel options or other reservation system;

·       Knowledge of CRS;

·       A keen Skier / Snowboarder, or keen interest and knowledge of Skiing / Snowboarding;

·       Looking for a career in travel.

Sales Consultant (seasonal)

Background to the role
You will use your ski expertise and passion for delivering excellent customer service at all times throughout the booking process, for direct customers and travel agents.  You will be converting leads into bookings for both our winter Ski and our summer Lakes & Mountains programmes.

This is a seasonal position from October 2010 to the end of February 2011. 


Location

Based in the Putney Office, South-West London


Key responsibilities will include:
To provide excellent customer service and selling expertise to Inghams customers. 

  • Handling reservations calls from direct clients and Travel Agents
  • Checking availability, providing quotes and processing bookings for all your clients  
  • Selling additional products such as ski packs, lift passes, insurance and excursions
  • Cross-selling to clients if a resort/hotel is not available
  • Delivering exceptional customer service through excellent resort / country knowledge
  • Hitting all sales targets set
  • Replying to emails within set time limits and in accordance with Company standards
  • Taking other reservations calls when necessary
  • Turning quotations into sales and entering all information accurately onto the reservations system
  • To be fully aware of process and procedures relating to clients with special needs

 

The Candidate

  • Strong knowledge of European and North American ski resorts
  • Passionate about skiing or snow boarding

  • Good communication skills – on the telephone and in writing
  • Previous experience in a travel reservations environment
  • Ability to use Outlook, word and excel to a good standard
